3rd meeting of European Azerbaijanis Congress to take place on April 14 in Frankfurt

Baku–APA. 3rd meeting of European Azerbaijanis Congress will take place on April 14 in Frankfurt, Germany, press service of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora told APA. The Congress’s President Natig Agamirov will make a report on the organizing of European Azerbaijanis, protection of national-spiritual values, protection of Azerbaijanis’ rights and freedoms, delivering of true information about Azerbaijan to the world and other activities. The Congress members will discuss fulfillment of Action Plan of European Azerbaijanis for 2007-2009 and various proposals for extension of activity of Azerbaijani communities in Europe. Taken into consideration the positive result of activity of the coordination center in Germany, the Congress expected to establish such centers in other countries too. New Diaspora organizations will be welcomed to the Congress. Leaders and activists of the Diaspora organizations in the European countries, Azerbaijani officials, representatives of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and other guests will attend the meeting. The Congress will adopt its final resolution. The European Azerbaijanis Congress was founded on April 17, 2004 in Berlin. It united more than 40 Diaspora organizations. First chairman of the Congress was Bahaddin Gaya. Vice President of All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress and European Azerbaijanis Congress Natig Agamirov was elected the Congress’s president at the second meeting of the organization. The Congress has 27-member Executive Committee and regional vice presidents. At the 3rd meeting on April 14 in Frankfurt, the Congress will elect its authorities.
