Khojaly Genocide anniversary events in Houston

Houston. Zaur Hasanovâ€“APA. A protest action dedicated to the anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide was held in Houston, Texas. Members of the American Azerbaijani Council and ordinary Azerbaijanis spread leaflets about the Khojaly realities among the Houston citizens. Azerbaijani Student association at the Texas University organized an exhibition of the photos of Khojaly tragedy. The exhibition will last until the end of March. American Azerbaijani Council (AAC) also organized the mourning event on the 17th anniversary of the Khojalu genocide within the â€œKhojaly Weekâ€ in Houston.
AAC Vice President Yusif Babanli, member of the organization Toghrul Mammadbayov, member of the Azerbaijani parliament Havva Mammadova informed the participants about the bloody events in Khojaly. Yusif Babanli and Toghrul Mammadbayov spoke about the misappropriation of the Nagorno Karabakh history by the Armenians, ethnic cleansing and genocide campaign committed by Armenians 20 years ago. â€œKhojaly Genocideâ€, a book written by MP Havva Mammadova was presented and the documentary produced by the Heydar Aliye Foundation was shown at the event. President of the Turkish Political Committee Demir Karsan, leader of the Ukrainian community Roman Chernogorsky, AAC representative for Azerbaijan Kamala Pashayeva and our compatriots attended the event.
