Reports on the Azerbaijani citizens taken hostage and not killed in Khojaly Genocide to be sent to the European Court

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva–APA. “Reports on the Azerbaijani citizens taken hostage and not killed in Khojaly Genocide will be sent to the European Court and other international organizations”, said Secretary of the State Commission for Prisoners, Hostages and Missing People Shahin Sailov, APA reports. He said the reports were prepared and translated to English. Following this process, the Commission will raise the issue of returning of the Armenian-captured Azerbaijani citizens in accordance with the international law.

Sailov said on the State Commission’s initiative, the Ministry of National Security, Interior Ministry and Military Prosecutor’s Office established joint operational investigative group. “The group is investigating the genocide acts in Khojaly and other parts of Karabakh. According to the last report, the group collected facts and investigative materials about 279 Armenians, who committed genocide against Azerbaijanis. There are 38 Armenians among them, who committed Khojaly Genocide. We will take necessary measures to deliver reports about them to Interpol and to bring them to justice”.
