Rally on anniversary of Khojaly Genocide held outside Armeniaâ€™s embassy in Belgium - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

Brussels â€“ APA. Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora organizations in Belgium have today held events on the 17th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide, Press Service of Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium told APA. Tent was put up outside the European Parliament in the crowded Schumann Square. Exhibition and film about Khojaly tragedy were demonstrated in the tent. The visitors of the exhibition joined the international campaign â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Coordinator on Intercultural Dialogue of OIC Youth Forum and signed the relevant document.

Following this, our compatriots held a rally outside the Armenian embassy. They protested against the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, demanded the release of the lands and handed the protest letter addressed to the Armenian government to the embassy officer. Later, they marched towards the European Parliament. The Azerbaijanis gathered in Schumann Square called on the European institutions not to ignore the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, to recognize Khojaly genocide and condemn Armenia and handed in the protest letter addressed to the chairman of the European Union, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, president of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert PÃ¶ttering.

Protestors supported international campaign â€œJust for Khojalyâ€ signing a proper document. Azerbaijani and Turkish Communities from Netherlands and Germany attended the protest actions in Brussels.

The press release made by the Embassy on Khojaly tragedy was sent to Belgian official bodies and mass media, foreign embassies in Belgium, EU and diplomatic corps under NATO.

The conference regarding Khojaly Genocide led by Gisela Kallenbach, a member European Parliament will be held in the building of European Parliament with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation on March 3. The conference will cover detailed information about the tragedy and demonstrate an exhibition and film, sound tar and kaman and conduct presentation of website of international campaign â€œJust for Khojalyâ€, organized on the initiative of Leyla Aliyev, Coordinator General on Cross-Cultural Dialogue of OIC Youth Forum.
