Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul meets with Azerbaijani community in Tallinn

Tallinn. Laura Jabrayilli–APA. Estonia 90 and Turkey-85 exhibition has been opened at the Estonian National Library, which exhibits archive materials, pictures and documents about the relations between the two countries. Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul and his Estonian counterpart Hendrik Ilves attended the opening ceremony, Press Service of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis living Abroad told APA. Hendrik Ilves said Turkish Republic always supported Estonia in its difficult times. Following the exhibition a meeting with the leaders and representatives of Turkic-speaking communities of the country – Azerbaijani, Tatar, Bashkird, Uzbek and Kyrgyz Diasporas – was held at the Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn on Abdullah Gul’s initiative. Representative of Tatar community Ildar Muhamedisn proposed to build mosque in Tallinn. Leaders of Azerbaijani community thanked Abdullah Gul, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Turkey’s Prime Minister Receb Tayib Erdogan for their support to the joint activity of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas.
