US and Azerbaijani students hold videoconference at Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles

Los Angeles. Husniyya Hasanova–APA. A peace-building video teleconference that allowed US students to interact with students in Baku, Azerbeijan, was hosted recently by the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. About 100 participating students from both countries exchanged views on religious questions, culture, educational goals and life expectations. Vice Consul of Azerbaijan’s Consulate in Los Angeles Elman Abdullayev told APA the US Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Muslim students asked questions about the religious tolerance, human rights and economic reforms in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani students took interest in the upcoming presidential elections and current financial crisis in the United States.
The videoconference between Baku and Los Angeles was organized by the Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles public school teachers, the Consulate of Azerbaijan, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan.
