Baku – APA. The protest march, which got underway Monday in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, reached the intersection of Amiryan and Mashtots Avenues. At the intersection, however, the police formed a human wall and did not permit the marchers to move forward, APA reports quoting news.am.
Deputy Chief of the Armenian police Valeri Osipyan said the march is illegal and urged the protestors to disperse. However, the protestors catcalled him. The police staged an intervention against the protestors who wanted to march towards Sakharov Square. Five of the activists were beaten and detained. One of them is head of “Asperaz” journalists’ club Levon Barsegyan.
According to recent information, more than 15 protesters were detained.

Baku – APA. Armenians started a protest action against the country's accession to the Customs Union in Yerevan.
APA reports quoting Arminfo that the protesters are marching along the Northern Ave, Republic Square, Amiryan Street, Mashtots Ave, to the President's residence on Baghramyan Ave.
Though police officers firstly closed the Northern Ave, later they allowed the protestors to march along the determined route. They are chanting slogans like “Serjik go away!”, “Putin go away!”, “EuroArmenia”, “Independent Armenia”, “Armenians, unite!”, “We are the owners of our country!”. The protesters are holding posters “Stop-Russia”.
A large number of police officers were deployed outside the President's residence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has today started his official visit to Armenia.
