The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General has visited Moscow for the first time since 2021, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov and Sinirlioğlu discussed the situation in Ukraine, the possible participation of the OSCE in the Eurasian security architecture, and the situation of journalists in the Ukrainian conflict zone.
The Russian Foreign Minister once again criticized the idea of deploying peacekeepers in Ukraine. He stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not want a settlement.
Lavrov also discussed the situation in Syria, emphasizing that Moscow considers violence in Syria unacceptable and believes the Syrian government has violated its promises.
The OSCE Secretary General was shown the consequences of the massive attack by Ukrainian drones on the Moscow region.
