The Kremlin left Turkish media reports about the allegedly planned talks between Russia and Ukraine in Ankara without comment, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA reports citing Pravda.
"I can't comment here in any way. I don't quite understand what was discussed in these Turkish media, what was discussed there. That is, I cannot confirm this here," Peskov told reporters, answering a question about whether the information received from the Turkish media that talks on security in the Black Sea with the participation of Russia and Ukraine would be held in Ankara on April 15 and 16 was true.
On Sunday, CNN Turk TV channel, citing the Turkish Ministry of Defense, reported that on April 15-16, representatives of the Russian Federation and Ukraine will hold talks in Ankara on the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. According to the Ukrainian TV channel TSN, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has not confirmed plans to hold such a meeting.
