Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Russia regret about the NATO’s decision on Georgia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said during his briefing in Moscow today. He criticized the NATO view of the Caucasian situation presented in the Chicago summit declaration. Russia considers that NATO doesn’t draw conclusions from the 2008 August events. “One of the most difficult problems in the South Caucasus is to restore friendly neighborhood relations between Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. We regret and have concerns about the NATO Chicago Declaration because it offers Russia to review its decision to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. NATO didn’t draw conclusions from the tragic events occurred in August 2008”.
