Lawmaker Siyavush Novruzov told journalists the draft decision on amnesty was already ready. Lawmakers are holding consultations on this issue. Novruzov said the issue was expected to lay on the tapis at the Parliament in next few days. He said it could be discussed at the Parliament session on May 6 dedicated to Heydar Aliyev’s 85th anniversary.
Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova has also appealed to the Parliament for passing of decision on amnesty.
