Death yoll in Saudi-Led Coalition strike on funeral in Yemen rises to 82, 534 wounded - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Baku-APA. Death toll of killed in result the Saudi airstrike of the funeral ceremony in Sanaa rised to 82 people, 534 pepople are wounded, the acting health minister in the Houthi-led administration in the Yemeni capital said, APA reports quoting Sputnik.

Baku-APA. Dozens of people were killed and many injured as a result of the airstrike on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, during the funeral ceremony, involving Houthi rebels, carried out by the forces of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, a local source told Sputnik on Saturday, APA reports quoting Sputnik.

According to the source, the total number of those killed and injured in the capital, controlled by Houthis, can be as high as several hundreds of people.

Yemen has been engulfed in a military conflict between the government headed by Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and Houthi rebels since 2014. The Houthis are backed by army units loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Since March 2015, the Saudi-led coalition of mostly Persian Gulf countries has been carrying out airstrikes against the opposition Houthis at the request of ousted Hadi. In August, the United Nations said that more than 10,000 civilians have been killed in Yemen since March 2015.
