Bus falls off a bridge into canal in India, 9 dead

Baku – APA. Nine people are dead after a bus fell off a bridge into a canal in Khammam district of Telangana, India.

The accident took place in the wee hours of Monday. According to initial reports, 9 people were killed and 15 injured in the accident. The injured passengers have been shifted to a hospital. The bus was going towards Khammam district from Hyderabad when the incident happened. The mishap took place when the bus plunges into Nagarjunsagar canal in Khammam district, India.Com reported.

According to reports, a private travel service bus was traveling to Kakinada from Hyderabad. There were 31 passengers in the bus. The bus fell off a bridge built over Nagarjunsagar canal laving 9 people dead. The death toll may increase. The police has arrived at the spot along with a rescue operation team. 15 injured people have been shifted to a district hospital. In the pictures of the accident shared on social media by local residents and journalist, the bus is seen upside down floating on the canal. More details are awaited.
