Baku-APA. “Saudi Arabia had promised him support, if Damascus break all ties with Iran”, - Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview to “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, APA reports.
"If we moved from Iran and said refuse any relationship with Iran, they said that they will help us. It's very simple and direct”, - the Syrian leader said.
Assad said that this proposal was received after the start of the conflict in Syria: “Proposals began after the crisis because our opponents want to use the crisis to blackmail. They said: if we do what they want, they will help us”.
