A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has hit eastern Iran on Wednesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS.
According to the center’s information, the epicenter of the earthquake was located about 63 km north of Iran’s city of Kerman, which has a population of about 600,000 people, at a depth of 10 km.
There is no information about damages and victims yet.
On Tuesday, a 5.7-magnitude earthquake in Iran’s province of Kerman left 18 people injured.
