A bill banning social media use for individuals under the age of 15 has been adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, APA reports.
Accordingly, social network providers will not be allowed to offer services to children under 15.
The provision on “removal of content from publication and blocking access,” previously annulled by the Constitutional Court of Türkiye, has been amended.
Under the amendment, social network providers will be prohibited from offering services to children under 15 and will be required to take necessary measures, including age verification, to prevent such services from being provided.
