"Since January 1, the Turkish army has neutralized 2084 terrorists, including in northern Iraq and Syria," said Turkish National Defense Minister Yashar Güler, APA's Turkish correspondent reports.
He noted that, especially in the last 4 months, a total of 1,110 targets were destroyed against terrorist targets in the north of Iraq and Syria, and 820 terrorists were neutralized.
In addition, 122 terrorists surrendered during the year.
The minister also noted that since January 1, 199,898 people have been prevented from illegally crossing the borders of Türkiye. 13 thousand 156 illegal immigrants and 590 terrorists, including 410 FETÖ members, were handed over to law enforcement agencies.
