Operations have been suspended at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran, head of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, 639 Russian employees are still at the Bushehr NPP.
The Rosatom chief noted that a threat to the plant remains and that this threat increases as the military conflict intensifies:
“Contact has been lost with the leadership of Iran’s nuclear industry, and there is still no information about the status of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Targeted strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities are getting out of control. We insist that the safety of these nuclear facilities must be a priority.”
