Baku-APA. North Korea's powerful politburo has vowed to continue firing "powerful long-range rockets," but a statement made no mention of Pyongyang's promise to conduct a nuclear test, APA reports quoting Associated Press.
The United States and its allies have been on edge since North Korea said last month it will conduct its third nuclear test to protest toughened sanctions over a December rocket launch that the U.N. called a cover for a banned missile test, APA reports quoting Associated Press.
As the world waits, surrounding countries are warning that a test will prompt more sanctions.
Pyongyang's state media said Tuesday that ruling Workers' Party Political Bureau members are promising future rocket launches as part of an "all-out action of high intensity."
The politburo also called for festivities surrounding the July 27 anniversary of the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.
