Kuwait ambassador to Nigeria assures of improved trade bilateral ties

Baku-APA. Kuwait's Ambassador to Nigeria, Saad Al Asousi, on Saturday assured of an improved trade relationship with Nigeria, saying the west African nation is an investment destination waiting to be tapped, APA reports.

The official made the remarks ahead of a celebration of the 52th Independence day and the 22nd liberation day by the people of Kuwait on Monday in Abuja. The liberation day is to commemorate the country's liberation from Iraqi occupation in 1991.

The ambassador who noted that Nigeria is an investment destination waiting to be tapped, assured of his country's commitment to improved and better economic relationship with Nigeria.

Both countries have commenced talks which will see many of the Kuwait investors coming to invest huge some of money in some key sectors, he added.

He said Kuwait has enjoyed immense support from Nigeria and this according to him paved the way for the realization of mutual working relationship between both countries. Besides, the ambassador noted that their target is to boost bilateral relations.
