Hurricane causes high financial damage in Palestine

Baku-APA. Cold and rainy weather wave came with the Hurricane Andrew cost one million USD of financial damage in agriculture in Gaza, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency.

Nabil Abu Semmale, an official from Agriculture Ministry of Palestinian government in Gaza, told AA that the hurricane and bad weather gave big damage to agriculture sector, adding that the cost of the damage exceeded one million USD.

Semmale said that fields were damaged due to strong wind exceeding 100 km/h which came from Cyprus.

Fishermen in Gaza were also badly influenced by the harsh weather. 42 boats capsized during the storm.

Many Palestinians were injured while many houses were inundated due to the bad weather.
