Baku-APA. The death toll in a construction site scaffold collapse in Dexing City, east China's Jiangxi Province, Wednesday night, has risen to four, as rescuers have retrieved the bodies of all three workers trapped in the debris by Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
There were 11 workers at the construction site of a convention center when the accident happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Rescuers brought out eight of them, one of whom died after medical treatment failed. Among the seven injured, one narrowly escaped danger and remained treated in hospital. The others sustained slight injuries.
The workers were pouring concrete into the ceiling when the scaffold collapsed, according to investigators.
Further investigation is still under way.
