Baku-APA. Four people from the Gaza Strip, who were infected with H1N1 influenza strain, were being treated, and there are no critical cases, medics said Monday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Hamas Health Ministry, told reporters that the four patients "suffered from weak immunity system in their bodies."
Earlier Sunday, a Palestinian medical official said that two Palestinians from the West Bank died of the virus.
Assad al-Ramlawy, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health at Palestinian National Authority (PNA), told Xinhua that a woman and a child from Nablus died due to the H1N1 virus.
As many as 14 Palestinians have died of the disease since the beginning of winter in the West Bank, he added. However, no death cases were reported in the Gaza Strip.
Ramlawy noted that 365 people have been diagnosed with infection, adding that all dead suffered from chronic diseases or autoimmune disorders.
"This disease has become seasonal and we have the needed medication and the expertise to fight it," he said.
