The Israeli military announced on Thursday that it has established operational control over an area north of the Saluki River, located south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon, Reuters reports.
According to a statement released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), troops have completed an operation aimed at securing and clearing the area north of the Saluki River.
The military said the operation resulted in the establishment of operational control over the designated zone following a series of clearance activities.
The IDF did not provide further details regarding the duration of the operation, the forces involved, or whether any clashes occurred during the mission.
The announcement comes amid ongoing security tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border and continued military activities in southern Lebanon.
