The Israeli Air Force carried out a wave of airstrikes against Iranian military assets in Isfahan and Shiraz overnight, the military says.
IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin tells a press conference it is the first time that the military is striking in this area in the current campaign against Iran.
He says more than 20 targets were hit in the strikes, including two facilities in Isfahan where Iran stored advanced Ghadr ballistic missiles.
Other targets included ballistic and cruise missile storage sites, as well as air defense systems, according to the IDF.
“We estimate that the strikes took out many dozens of ballistic missiles and cruise missiles,” Defrin says.
