Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Tuesday that its aerospace forces launched a heavy ballistic missile attack on a US Marine camp in Jordan, saying the strike was retaliation for a US attack near Sirik in southern Iran, APA reports.
In a statement carried by state media, the IRGC said Camp Titin, on the Gulf of Aqaba coast, was hit in what it described as the second wave of its retaliatory operation.
The Guards said a large number of US personnel were killed and that several facilities and attack helicopters were destroyed. There was no immediate US confirmation.
The IRGC said its retaliatory operation was continuing.
