Iran’s nuclear facilities were not damaged in the attacks, Iran’s Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in a video address to the nation, APA reports.
He said that the U.S. targeted nuclear sites but did not achieve much.
“Any future aggression against Iran will come at a high cost,” Khamenei emphasized.
He also noted that Iran’s nuclear facilities were not harmed in the attacks: “The Americans failed to achieve anything significant by striking nuclear facilities.”
“Iran’s enemies use excuses such as missiles or the nuclear program, but in reality, they want us to surrender. Israel had to learn that attacking Iran comes with a high cost,” the Supreme Leader stressed.
He also mentioned that U.S. President Donald Trump exaggerated the events: “Trump exaggerated the extent of damage to Iran’s nuclear sites — in reality, it was minor.”
Khamenei responded to Trump’s statements about Iran surrendering as well:
“The U.S. President said Iran must surrender — that statement is far too big for his mouth,” Khamenei added.
