Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said on Saturday that the government would protect the economy and people’s livelihoods against US economic pressure, arguing that such measures would fail to change Iranians’ resolve, APA reports.
“The government will not allow US economic pressure to target economic stability and people’s livelihoods,” Aref wrote on X. “The experience of the Islamic Revolution has shown that economic pressure cannot change the will of the Iranian people and produces the opposite result.”
