Negotiations on a final agreement between Iran and the United States will begin immediately after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told journalists, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
He said that the next stage of negotiations will begin after the memorandum is signed in Switzerland.
According to the deputy minister, the United States will be represented by Vice President JD Vance, while Iran will be represented by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Takht-Ravanchi noted that the memorandum envisages ending the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon. He said that the United States has committed to halting the war on all fronts and that an appropriate mechanism has been established to prevent possible violations.
The Iranian official emphasized that discussions on nuclear issues will begin after the memorandum is signed. Takht-Ravanchi added that the parties have not yet moved on to detailed discussions, but the negotiations will include issues such as uranium enrichment and Iran's nuclear needs.
