Iranian authorities will not resume conflict resolution talks with the United States until Washington meets five of Tehran's conditions, APA reports citing Fars news agency.
According to him, the conditions include:
- ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon,
- lifting of anti-Iranian sanctions,
- release of frozen Iranian funds,
- compensation for damage caused by the war,
- recognition of Iran's right to sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
The combination of these conditions is determined solely to create a minimum level of trust and return to the negotiation process, the source noted.
As the agency's source clarified, Iran also conveyed to the Pakistani mediator that the continuation of the naval blockade in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman after the establishment of a ceasefire further increases mistrust in the negotiations with the United States.
