Iran comments on Russia’s statements regarding nuclear issue assistance

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has commented on Russia’s statements regarding assistance in resolving Iran’s nuclear issue, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

Baghaei said that Tehran’s main focus at the current stage is on stopping the war.

He noted that decisions regarding the nuclear issue and possible related options will be discussed at a later stage.

Baghaei also touched upon “the attack against Iran carried out from the direction of the Iraqi borders and security issues.” According to him, Tehran is in constant contact with both the Iraqi government and parties in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.

“These contacts existed during the war and have also continued in recent days. Everyone understands that any security problem arising in the region affects all countries, and this understanding is useful in preventing threats,” Baghaei emphasized.
