The passage of Chinese ships through the Strait of Hormuz has begun, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
The Fars agency, citing an informed source, reported that by the decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran, some Chinese ships have been allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz on the condition that Iran’s protocols on the management of the strait are observed.
According to the source, following negotiations conducted by the Chinese foreign minister and the country’s ambassador to Iran, the issue of facilitating the passage of Chinese ships within the framework of the deep relations and strategic partnership between the two countries was discussed. It was reported that after an understanding was reached regarding Iran’s protocols on the management of the strait, approval was given for some of the ships requested by China to pass through this route, and the passage process began last night.
