A strong magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Central Türkiye in the early afternoon of Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 3.46 pm local time (Europe/Istanbul GMT +3), APA reports citing volcano discovery.
It has been reported that the epicenter of the earthquake is in the Kulu district of Konya province.
According to the information shared by Türkiye's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on his X account, the earthquake did not cause any damage, and relevant authorities are taking the necessary measures.
The earthquake occured at a depth of 18.73 km.
The quake was reported felt by some people near the epicenter.
