At least 11 civilians were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon’s southern Nabatieh province, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
The ministry said Israeli warplanes struck a three storey residential building in the town of Sir al Gharbiyeh.
The attack killed 11 people, including one child and six women, while nine others were injured. Among the wounded are four children and one woman.
Search and rescue operations are continuing at the scene as emergency teams work to clear the rubble. Authorities have warned that the death toll could rise as efforts to locate possible survivors and victims continue.
No immediate comment was issued by Israeli authorities regarding the reported strike. The incident comes amid ongoing tensions and cross border hostilities between Israel and armed groups operating in southern Lebanon.
