Kyrgyz Prime Minister resigns

Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Azim Isabekov tendered his resignation on Thursday and was accepted by President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, APA reports.
Opposition politician Almaz Atambayev was appointed acting Prime Minister and given the task of forming a new government.
Mr. Bakiyev noted that Isabekov stressed that it is necessary to ensure tranquility in the country and the importance of not allowing mass alarm and resigned saying he is ready to give some important positions to opposition politicians.
President Bakiyev dismissed five ministers on March 28. /APA/
