Baku-APA. Three people were killed and 14 others injured in separate bomb attacks in eastern and central Iraq on Monday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

In Iraq’s eastern province of Diyala, gunmen planted bombs around a house near the provincial capital city of Baquba, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, killing two people inside and wounding four others, including two women, a provincial police source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

In Baghdad, a civilian was killed and five others injured when a sticky bomb attached to a minibus carrying passengers detonated near an intersection in Kadhmiyah district in northern the capital, an Interior Ministry source anonymously told Xinhua.

Near the capital, a roadside bomb detonated near a police vehicle in the city of Madain, some 30 km south of Baghdad, injuring two policemen aboard and three passers-by, the source said.

Sporadic attacks are still common in the Iraqi cities despite the dramatic decrease in violence since its peak in 2006 and 2007 when the country was engulfed in sectarian killings.
