Japanese government to spend $309 billion on restoration of economy

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA. The government of Japan is going to spend 25 trillion yen ($309 billion) on the restoration of the country’s economy damaged by the natural disaster.

This includes restoration of the country’s infrastructure, buildings and industrial enterprises.

The March 11 earthquake is considered the most serious crisis for Japan after the World War II.

24,000 were killed and went missing in the aftermath of the natural disaster in Japan. The World Bank said that the restoration of Japan’s economy will require $235 billion and five years.

The direct damage is 16-25 trillion yen ($200-312 billion).
