Baku-APA. Iran’s Coroner Organization said Monday that four Iraqi nationals were among the victims of the Sunday air crash in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

Two of the four Iraqi nationals were identified by their relatives, the report quoted an Coroner Organization announcement as saying.

The announcement confirmed the earlier local reports that 77 of the people on board were killed in the incident, according to the report.

The announcement revealed the names of 73 people who had already been identified and said that 51 of them were men and 22 were women, and four others killed in the accident still need to be identified, said Mehr.

Some 27 others were injured when the passenger plane crashed near the city of Uroumieh, Nosrat Molazadeh, head of Uroumieh University of Medical Sciences, was quoted by local satellite Press TV as saying, adding the injured were transferred to the hospitals in Uroumieh.

The Boeing-727 belonging to the state-owned IranAir airliner took off from Tehran Mehrabad airport at 18:00 local time (1430 GMT) and crashed at 19:45 local time (1615 GMT) on Sunday near a village some 15 km from Iran’s northwestern city of Uroumieh.

The cause of the crash was yet to be found out, but earlier reports have linked the incident to bad whether condition and technical problems on the plane.
