The opening ceremony of Bulbul IX International Vocal Competition was held in Azerbaijan’s Baku and Shusha, APA reports.
The opening ceremony took place in Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic.
People's Artist of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbuloglu, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, opened the event with an introductory speech and wished luck to the participants of the competition.
Deputy Culture Minister, People's Artist Murad Huseynov and the director of Azerbaijan’s State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, People’s Artist Yusif Eyvazov also delivered speeches and talked about the significance of the competition.
After that the performances of the competition participants started.
The participants from Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Ukraine also participated in the competition along with Azerbaijan.
Noted that Bulbul IX International Vocal Competition will be held during June 3-9.
It is planned to held the competition in Baku and Shusha.
