Baku – APA. The US government has ordered PYD's armed wing YPG to pull back from the northern Syrian town of Manbij and move east across the Euphrates, and cut off arms supplies and intelligence support, the Israeli website Debkafile, believed to be close to Israeli intelligence, reported.

The Kurdish militia pulled back from Manbij, which lies south of Jarablus, after US Vice-President Joe Biden delivered a public reprimand during a visit to Turkey on Wednesday, saying: “No corridor, period. No separate [Kurdish] entity on the Turkish border.”

Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander of US forces in Iraq and Syria, also ordered US soldiers to return to their bases.

PYD leader Salih Muslim stated that Washington will resume arms supplies and intelligence support to PYD after YPG fully moved east across the Euphrates.

It’s reported that some YPG leaders decided not to retreat east across the Euphrates in order to resist the Turkish army.
