Baku-APA. Former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice has joined a growing band of Republicans calling on presidential candidate Donald Trump to withdraw from the race, APA reports quoting the Washington Post.
"Enough! Donald Trump should not be President. He should withdraw," she wrote on Facebook.
"As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth."
Her call for Donald Trump to drop out of the race for the presidency is not entirely unprecedented. Many other Republicans have done the same in the last 24 hours or so following the release of old audio of Trump saying lewd things about women that some pols have equated to sexual assault.
Heavy-hitting Trump supporters like Rudy Giuliani have called this type of demand “wishful thinking” and written off any Republican who unendorses or refuses to stand by the nominee following this scandal.
