Baku-APA. Two students and a teacher sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting at a South Carolina elementary school Wednesday, according to officials, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
One of the injured students at Townville Elementary School was airlifted to a hospital for treatment while the other and a female teacher were sent by ambulance to a nearby medical center, Anderson County Sheriff's Office said.
Investigators said a male found dead at a house 3 miles from the school before the shooting, was "directly connected" to the incident.
Officers told a local network that a teenage suspect was in custody.
The shooting is the latest in a series of mass shootings that have plagued the U.S.
