Baku-APATwenty people were injured, two of them critically, when two buses collided near Lincoln Tunnel in New Jersey Monday morning, and the accident caused traffic delays for New Jersey commuters to enter Manhattan, New York City, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico was quoted by local media as saying that approximately 20 people were injured, including at least two in serious condition.

According to media reports, a bus operated by Martz Trailways rear-ended a New Jersey Transit bus that was carrying 45 passengers from Paramus, N.J., to the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan.

Authorities have reopened the Lincoln Tunnel leading out of New York City following the accident.

New Jersey Transit is offering more limited service on the rails two weeks after Superstorm Sandy damaged tracks, signals and overhead wires.

The 2.4-km long Lincoln Tunnel under the Hudson River connects Weehawken, New Jersey and Manhattan. It carries almost 120,000 vehicles per day and is one of the busiest vehicular tunnels in the world.
