The United States is preparing a staging area for possible military operations in Venezuela, APA reports citing Reuters.
According to him, construction work began on September 7 at the US Naval Air Station Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, abandoned for over 20 years. Work has begun clearing and replacing the pavement on the taxiways leading to the runway. Furthermore, the US is expanding the infrastructure of civilian airports in Puerto Rico and on St. Croix, part of the US Virgin Islands. These areas are located approximately 500 miles (approximately 800 km) from Venezuela.
