“The U.S. is working intensively to lift sanctions against Syria,” said U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, APA reports.
“Without giving a specific date, I can say that this will be carried out more quickly than we are used to,” she said.
Stressing that lifting sanctions against a country takes a certain amount of time even if an order comes from President Donald Trump, Bruce noted that both the State Department and the relevant agencies are working intensively in this process.
