The US Southern Command announced that it struck a speedboat traveling along routes used for illegal drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea on Saturday, September 19, APA reports.
Four people aboard the vessel were killed in the strike.
The command said reliable intelligence had confirmed that the boat was linked to drug-smuggling activities.
Footage of the US military strike was shared on the social media platform X.
The death toll from US military strikes on vessels suspected of transporting drugs in the Caribbean has now reached 231. A total of 69 such strikes have been carried out during the campaign, which has continued for more than a year
