Russian troops have begun withdrawing from positions around Kyiv as part of a major strategic change, said the commander of the US European Command, General Tod Walters at a hearing in the US Senate Armed Services Committee, APA reports quoting US media.
Commenting on media reports that Moscow was withdrawing troops from around Kyiv, the general said that after facing problems on supply lines and surprise resistance, Russian President Vladimir Putin was relocating his forces to take a more effective position.
