U.S. administrations admit to interfering in other countries' internal affairs

U.S. administrations admit to interfering in other countries

In the United States, it is now openly acknowledged across the ocean that various administrations have interfered in the internal affairs of other countries, using a wide range of tools, including the media. These admissions reveal that several media outlets influencing global public opinion have been funded by the U.S. government and have carried out specific orders accordingly. Moreover, the media outlets executing these orders have blatantly disregarded all principles and values of journalism. However, it appears that the newly formed U.S. administration has begun to pursue a completely different policy. In this context, funding for the executors of biased orders is being cut off.

Many of those deprived of funds allocated for fulfilling orders have been named by the U.S. administration itself. At the top of the list is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The head of the U.S. Office of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk, has declared that USAID has been wasting billions of dollars annually, emphasizing the necessity of its permanent dissolution. U.S. President Donald Trump also fully supports this approach.

Numerous facts indicate that the agency, responsible for managing American foreign aid and development programs, has been engaged in activities completely unrelated to its mission. In this regard, Elon Musk has paid particular attention to USAID’s operations, stating that the organization must be abolished due to its bias and that its restoration is impossible. He also highlights that the agency’s funds have been primarily used to interfere in foreign elections. Meanwhile, the new U.S. government has uncovered corruption scheme of unprecedented scale within USAID.

American state media outlets such as Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and Voice of America, which were used as propaganda tools in the US ideological struggle during the Cold War, have also been used for many years for interference in the internal affairs of other countries and other purposes, rather than for their intended purposes. Moreover, hundreds of millions of dollars are allocated to these media organizations annually, and once again, the U.S. government itself admits that this money has been wasted. However, the list does not end there.

Elon Musk states that during Joe Biden's presidency, the U.S. government allocated millions of dollars annually to the Reuters news agency. In return, Reuters carried out the given orders, engaging in the manipulation of global public opinion by spreading misinformation in the way the U.S. government desired: "The U.S. government paid millions of dollars to Reuters for 'mass social deception.' This is literally what a procurement order means!" According to information circulating on the X social media platform, the Pentagon alone allocated $9 million to Reuters each year. In exchange for these funds, Reuters disseminated false information to the global public, targeted specific countries, institutions, and individuals, and conducted smear and defamation campaigns against them. Numerous facts support these claims. However, the U.S. government’s funds were not wasted on lies and slander solely through Reuters.

Musk previously stated that Donald Trump's administration had cut funding for media outlets such as Politico, The New York Times, and Associated Press. He noted that Politico received $620,000 annually from the State Department, while other publications were granted tens of millions of dollars from the Department of Health and Human Services. Musk also revealed that the U.S. Treasury Department paid out $100 billion in benefits each year to unidentified individuals. He called this situation "insanity." At the same time, the Treasury Department under the new administration admitted that nearly half of these payments were outright fraud.

All these newly uncovered facts are undoubtedly not the full list, and it is entirely expected that more revelations will follow. Another interesting confession from Elon Musk is that the United States should stop interfering in the affairs of other countries in one way or another and focus on its own problems: "There were times when the U.S. has been kind of pushy in international affairs. I believe we should completely refrain from meddling in the internal affairs of other countries". He also emphasized that instead of promoting regime changes worldwide, the U.S. should now prioritize addressing its own issues. It appears that the Trump administration has already decided to take this approach.
