The U.S. Administration is working on resolving the conflict in Ukraine, U.S. President's Special Representative for Russia and Ukraine, Kit Kellogg stated this in an interview with the New York Post, APA reports.
He stated that U.S. President Donald Trump, along with the Vice President, the National Security Advisor of the White House, the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of the Treasury are currently engaged in direct consultations on this matter.
Kellogg also recalled that last week, President Trump held a meeting with the officials mentioned above as well as stating that the Russia-Ukraine conflict will not be resolved without direct negotiations and mutual compromises between Moscow and Kyiv:
“Honestly, choosing the path of compromise is important for both sides. Because the philosophy of negotiations is based on this. It is possible that the agreement may not be favorable for all parties, but achieving balance is essential.”
