US President Donald Trump announced that Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez has begun cooperating with American officials, APA reports citing NBC News.
Trump categorically denied any contacts between his administration and Rodriguez's entourage prior to the capture of President Nicolás Maduro. "No, that's not true," the president said in an interview with NBC News , responding to a question about possible preliminary agreements.
The White House chief also noted that a decision regarding the sanctions against Rodriguez will be made soon. According to Trump, Washington will determine whether these restrictions will be maintained or lifted, depending on the level of further engagement.
